can one commander remove another in puzzlequest

Here is the exact text on the email from D3 to give an example of the process. I had to do this before when a commander(me) attempted to kick a member but accidentally selected promote. The process is that you have to contact D3 to have the person demoted and then you can kick them. Has anyone else had any success with something like this? I’ve sent a help request to D3 support requesting the commander be removed or their commander status revoked so I can kick them to free their slot. They both know what it means because of the previous experience, so again, I know it was something serious. I didn’t promote either of them for 3-4 years but needed help while I was in the middle of a bunch of IRL stuff. Anyway, I left and formed my current alliance and both players that I made commanders came with me. I was a commander in that alliance and I basically tried to stage a coup (supported by several of the other members) but was told that the founding commander couldn’t be removed. Whatever happened, I know it was serious because this member followed me to this alliance from another alliance where the founding commander would be away for weeks and show up to collect rewards everyone else was earning.

One of the commanders has disappeared for over a month. My situation is that I’m the alliance founder and have made only 2 other members Commanders.

Has anyone had to contact D3 support to have a Commander removed from an alliance?
